Z CAM K2Pro

The best way to get true 6k video from the Z CAM K2Pro is to export the video as a 200° SBS fisheye projection. These are the recommended steps:

  1. Import your footage to Adobe Premiere
  2. Create a sequence with the above file attributes, then put the footage from both cameras on top of each other. Make sure that they are in sync at all times.
  3. Edit the video according to your needs.
  4. Nest your current sequence and rename the nested sequence "Master Sequence"
  5. Export "Master sequence" as an XML
  6. Export sound from "Master sequence" as a Wav file
  7. Launch the Mistika Boutique config tool and create a project set to 5800X2900 resolution and 59.9 fps
  8. Launch Mistika Boutique and open the fisheye project we have uploaded here
  9. Import your XML, ungroup and relink footage, then group it again eye by eye
  10. Move the grouped sequences inside the project in this order (R)eye (L)eye (L)eye (R)eye, if you see four lenses in the preview then swap "eyes"
  11. In "VR Stitch" node, do stereo alignment
  12. Adjust lens masks in the "Framing" node
  13. Add the color correction node on top of "VR Stitch" node, if you wish
  14. Import the sound file and add it on top of the "deo_mask" node
  15. Render the sequence using the following settings: MP4 Nvidia movie-HEVC 420 8bits Bitrate with master bitrate 150 mbps
  16. Import your video into Adobe Premiere, then create a sequence with the correct file attributes
  17. Use denoise software
  18. Render video as H265 file with 150 mbps. Be sure to add ‘_mkx_200’ into the filename

Canon R5 C

The best way to get 8k video from the Canon R5 C is to export the video as a 190° SBS fisheye projection. These are the recommended steps:

  1. Import your proxy files into Adobe Premiere using the project file we’ve uploaded here
  2. Organize your footage in the "cam" and "sound" folders sequence by sequence
  3. Edit your videos sequence by sequence
  4. Put your sequences together in the master sequence
  5. Replace proxy with original files in every sequence
  6. Open "Master_First_ Output" sequence and adjust the duration
  7. Apply color grading
  8. Render your sequence as a Prores 422
  9. When the render is done, import your Prores file back into your project in the "Master_second_output” sequence
  10. Apply denoiser
  11. Render your sequence as H265 video with 200mbps bitrate
  12. Render the audio from "Master sequence" as a WAV file
  13. Launch the Mistika Boutique config tool and create a project with 8000X40000 resolution at  59.9 fps
  14. Launch Mistika Boutique and open this fisheye project
  15. Import your h265 file, do three more copies.
  16. Move all files inside the project
  17. In the "VR Stitch" node, apply stereo alignment
  18. Adjust lens masks in the "Framing" node
  19. Import the audio file and add it on top of the "deo_mask" node
  20. Render the sequence as MP4 Nvidia movie-HEVC 420 8bits Bitrate with master bitrate 200 mbps. Be sure to add ‘_fisheye190’ into the filename

However, the faster way to get 8k video from the Canon R5 C is to export the video as a RF52 SBS fisheye projection. Please note that stereo isn't accurate this way,

  1. Import your proxy files into Adobe Premiere using our project file
  2. Organize your footage in the "cam" and "sound" folders sequence by sequence
  3. Edit your videos sequence by sequence
  4. Put your sequences together in the 'Master sequence"
  5. Replace proxy with original files in every sequence
  6. Open "Master_First_ Output" sequence and adjust duration
  7. Apply color grading and adjust lens masks
  8. Render your sequence as a Prores 422
  9. When the render is done import your Prores file back into your project in the "Master_second_output" sequence
  10. Apply denoiser
  11. Render your sequence as H265 video with 200mbps bitrate. Be sure to add ‘RF_52’ into the filename
