SVVR #93: July 2025 Meetup

Date: Thursday, July 17, 2025 - 7:00–10:00 PM PDT
Location: UC Santa Cruz Silicon Valley Campus, Santa Clara, CA 

Agenda Highlights:

• 6:30 PM – Doors open
• 7:00–7:30 PM – informal settling and meet‑up time
• 7:30–8:00 PM – featured talk: “Stereoscopic 3D in modern XR” by Nima Zeighami, co‑founder of REK (XR + robotics startup) 
• 8:00–8:15 PM – community announcements; attendees can share projects, events, job postings, etc.
• 8:15–10:00 PM – demos and free networking; attendees invited to bring their own XR prototypes/demos

Austin DeoVR Networking Meet-Up - March 13, 2025

Austin, Texas | SXSW 2025

We hosted a vibrant networking event during SXSW in Austin on March 13, 2025, bringing together a passionate crowd of VR/AR professionals, creators, and tech enthusiasts. With over 100 registrations, the event featured a packed agenda including presentations, product showcases, and immersive video screenings. Highlights included a keynote by Diego Vega of VRO Films and the launch of the Zion trailer.

We also scored an exclusive interview with Blackmagic about the Ursa Cinema Immersive camera.
