Guide: Chapters & Action Tags in DeoVR
Watching long VR videos just got a whole lot smoother. DeoVR now supports Chapters & Action Tags, a simple but powerful feature that lets viewers jump straight to the scenes they want.
What Are Chapters & Action Tags?
Think of Chapters & Action Tags as interactive bookmarks inside a VR video. Creators can add time-coded tags directly into the video description, and DeoVR automatically converts them into clickable markers inside the player.
For example, in a scenic tour of a park, the description could look like this:
00:00 Intro
00:09 St Edward Church
02:39 Water Feature
05:09 Band Stand
07:39 Duck Pond
09:58 Gardens
12:29 The Woods
14:59 Duck Pond 2
18:01 Outro
When a viewer plays the video in DeoVR Web or Hub Player, they’ll see these tags along the timeline. Clicking one instantly jumps to that point in the video.

Why It’s a Game-Changer
- Faster navigation - Viewers can skip right to the parts they care about.
- Better engagement - Highlight key moments so your audience doesn’t miss them.
- No extra tools needed - Just write the timestamps in your description, and DeoVR does the rest.
- Cross-use cases - Perfect for long scenic tours, music performances, tutorials, or narrative VR where chapters matter.
Where Does It Work?
Right now, Chapters & Action Tags work in DeoVR Web and Hub Player. Support for the DeoVR headset app is coming.
What’s Next?
The DeoVR team is working to expand this feature across all platforms, so no matter where you watch, you’ll have a seamless way to explore VR content.
