Der Weg fällt steil – etwa 80 Meter – zum Isthmus Beach ab. Hier gehe ich (Scout) einen abenteuerlichen Weg zum Stand hinunter. Abgelegen und schwer zu erreichen, bleibt er von den Menschenmassen verschont, die sich an Orten wie The Gap oder den Blowholes tummeln. Granitfelsen rahmen den Strand auf beiden Seiten ein, mit grünem Seegras bewachsene Riffe erstrecken sich bis in die Untiefen, und der Sandstrand ist weit und offen. Die Wellen brechen unaufhörlich und erfüllen die Luft mit Geräuschen und Energie. Es ist wild, es ist rau und es ist unvergesslich – ein erhebender Abschluss dieser Reise durch den Torndirrup-Nationalpark.
