Cathedral Gorge is in Purnululu National Park, a World heritage listed mountain range in the far North-East corner of Western Australia some 2845 km by road from the capital Perth. This walk initially meanders along the Eastern escarpment of the range amongst its unusual beehive formations before entering the gorge proper. Within the narrow gorge the soaring cliffs are a sight to behold, as is ‘The Cathedral’ with its serene pool at the end.
