Welcome to my humble channel, today we take a slow relaxing bike ride🚴♂️ at Lorong Halus Wetland to take in it's scenic view. No talking, No Music, only recording as it is. So let's go and enjoy our bike ride🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️
The Lorong Halus Wetland is located along the eastern bank of Serangoon Reservoir and was once Singapore's largest sewage disposal centre and landfill facilities.
When construction of the Serangoon Reservoir started in the 2000s, the Public Utilities Board decided to convert a portion of the former landfill into a wetland that would help treat potential contaminants in groundwater. Today, the Lorong Halus Wetland is now covered over with secondary forest and serves as a bio-remediation system for the Serangoon Reservoir and a haven for biodiversity.
