Our Contribution to Ukraine Support,
beside traditional help, we researchers in mathemusic, (+ french and hungarian european brothers of ukrainian people) have created this analaysis of the National Anthem.
The Anthem is in G Minor, it emphasises the tragic determination of the discourses you can read from the lyrics the refrain is played in the relative tonality , Bb Major, this is the part giving the power and hope to the whole piece.
Beside this simple structure, this Anthem is very popular due to the context and its beauty. We use the Spinnen Tonnetz, designed by H.Seress G.Baroin to illustrate the harmonic paths.
A description of the Spinnen Tonnetz can be found in our pedagogic movies and by googling to retrieve the scientific articles.
