The Applegate River is a tributary of the Rogue River in southwestern Oregon, USA. It flows through the Siskiyou Mountains and the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The river is popular for fishing, rafting, and kayaking. Fish Hatchery Park lies along the Applegate River, operated by Josephine County. It offers public access to swimming, fishing, biking, and hiking areas. The park also has a nature trail and a multi-use trail leading to Bolt Mountain, a serpentine peak with diverse flora and fauna. The park was once the site of a fish hatchery that operated from 1912 to 1936, collecting and distributing salmon and steelhead eggs.
