Built during the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty, Qingping Ancient Market is one of Shenzhen's four largest and best-preserved ancient markets. It's the only river market in Guangzhou that retains its Qing Dynasty style, boasting over 300 years of history. Relics such as the Yongxing Bridge, Xinqiao Granary, and Guang'an Pawnshop are well-preserved. Other structures include the remains of a rice mill, street-side shops, and residential buildings, most of which date from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China. These buildings represent a significant part of Shenzhen's historical and cultural heritage. Today, it has become a vibrant town integrating film, television, art, leisure, and cultural tourism, with regular folk activities and intangible cultural heritage performances.
