China's craziest underground building
As the first station in the city engineered to connect four metro lines simultaneously from day one, it has earned the iconic nickname the "Eye of Shenzhen." Far more than a typical transit stop, this massive complex features a multi-dimensional transport design that seamlessly integrates railways, subways, buses, and taxis. It currently stands as the largest single rail transit project in China.
By masterfully combining underground space systems, municipal functions, rail transit, and cultural landscapes into a unified design, the station achieves two things at once: it delivers incredibly efficient "four-lines-in-one" transfers, while creating a brand-new urban public space that originates from the subway, but is more than just the subway.
