The Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, completed over four years in Shenzhen's Futian New District, is a major public cultural building in the heart of the city. The building houses two independent departments: the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and the Urban Planning Exhibition (PE). Uniquely, these two museums operate as separate yet shared structures. The complex structural system and irregular shape, composed of numerous tilted, twisted, and rotated surfaces, made its construction a highly exploratory and challenging undertaking.
