Join us for a thrilling ride on the Mechernich Summer Toboggan Run, captured in immersive 3D VR180! This video serves as a test of the new CALF Visinse camera, which we mounted on our Zhiyun Crane M2 S gimbal. For crisp audio, we used the DJI Mic Mini.

As this was a test, we did run into a couple of recording challenges, specifically noticeable white balance shifts throughout the ride and some stuttering during playback. We promptly contacted CALF's customer support for clarification, and they were incredibly helpful!

CALF explained that the automatic white balance feature on the camera can indeed cause noticeable shifts when recording a moving object in quickly changing light, as the camera adjusts to varying light intensities. However, they confirmed that an exciting firmware update is planned for July which will introduce manual white balance control, giving users much more control and reducing post-production work. The playback stuttering issue we observed will also be resolved with this update.

Looking forward, the July firmware upgrade promises a host of new manual adjustment features, including controls for brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, noise reduction, anti-flicker, and various image effects and enhancements. This update is set to address many current user limitations and significantly improve the camera's performance.

We're really looking forward to these enhancements and wanted to share this positive feedback directly from CALF with you!
