Olympic Park is one of Seoul’s most beloved public spaces, where history, nature, culture, and everyday life come together across a vast landscape.

Built for the 1988 Summer Olympics, the park remains one of the most important symbols of modern Korea’s emergence onto the global stage. What was once an international sporting venue has evolved into a vibrant green sanctuary in the heart of the city.

Covering more than 1.4 million square meters, Olympic Park offers wide open lawns, peaceful lakes, tree-lined pathways, and extensive cycling and walking routes. The scale of the park creates a rare sense of openness within one of the world's busiest capitals.

Throughout the grounds, visitors encounter sculptures and artworks from around the world, transforming ordinary walks into an open-air cultural experience. The park is also home to historic remains from the ancient Baekje Kingdom, revealing layers of Korean history hidden beneath the modern landscape.

One of the park’s most recognizable landmarks is the famous Lone Tree, standing alone in a vast field and becoming a favorite destination for photographers throughout the year.

The atmosphere changes beautifully with the seasons. Cherry blossoms brighten the spring, lush greenery fills the summer, golden foliage colors the autumn, and quiet snow-covered fields transform the park during winter.
