Juyong Pass, also known as Jundu Pass or Jimen Pass, is a pass on the Ming Great Wall - the Inner Great Wall. Located in Nankou Town, Changping District, Beijing. Since the Qin Dynasty, it has been a throat passage through the borderlands. It is one of the famous Great Wall passes with a long history, and together with Zijing Pass and Daoma Pass, it is known as the "Inner Three Passes" of the Ming Great Wall. Juyong Pass was originally a pass, named "Juyong Pass". During the Northern Wei and Northern Qi dynasties, the Great Wall was built to connect with Guancheng, becoming an important gateway of the Great Wall.
In 1982, Juyongguan was included in the Badaling Thirteen Tombs National Scenic Area. [7] In March 1993, the Great Wall of Juyongguan was renovated and developed, becoming a famous scenic spot for tourists. [16] In 2001, the Great Wall of Juyongguan was rated as an "AAAA level tourist area".
