
Japan Iwate Karaumekan Picture Scroll in 1590
Karaumekan (Nagasaka Castle) has been the home of the Chiba clan, senior vassals of the Kasai clan, who inherited the Hiraizumi golden culture for 400 years from the Kamakura period.
In 1590, various generals such as Iwai, Isawa, Kesen, Motoyoshi, Tome, and Kurihara gathered here to hold a military council to decide whether or not to follow Toyotomi Hideyoshi's notice to march on Odawara. It was done.The bonfire you see on the left is called Myoken-no-Hi, and has been going on for 1000 years.
