New: AI passthrough!

This amazing Deo feature uses the power of AI to turn every VR scene into AR passthrough! Now you can take characters out of VR and have them right there with you - as if they were in the same room.

Notice: AI Passthrough is presently in beta mode, and as such, users may encounter occasional service imperfections. The feature is currently exclusive to the DeoVR app, but it will soon be accessible on both browsers and mobile devices. Your feedback is highly encouraged and appreciated.

Recommended headsets:

Meta Quest 3, and Quest Pro with stereoscopic color passthrough, Pico 4 (monoscopic color passthrough).

Compatible headsets:

Quest 2, Valve Index (monoscopic black and white passthrough).

Passthrough is not compatible yet for Oculus Link cable.

Since about 1996, before modems could render a 360 scene and where you couldn't turn your head without 'going for a coffee' I still had a tremendous amount of optimism about the whole idea of virtual reality. I joined the Active Worlds Metaverse (still exists) where a decade or so later, I began my career as a world builder on that 2dVR platform. Among those earliest projects was one where I was tasked to create a special 40 year anniversary celebration for a local attraction called Miniature World in Victoria BC. The Isle of Minutia was a virtualized reflection of some of Miniature World's most popular dioramas from Gulliver Travels to The Thesuvius D-Zone a space themed series I actually helped create in 1990. When Miniature World was sold to new owners shortly after this project was completed in 2012, unfortunately, the Isle of Minutia virtual reality was not considered part of the vision the new owners had in mind and it was discontinued. Luckily, I was able to grab a number of 360 Equirectangular screenshots before it disappeared!!! Enjoy this historic archived retrospective of a unique application of VR.
