Dongshan Island Guandi Temple, also known as Tongling Guandi Temple or Wumiao Temple, is located at the foot of Houlou Mountain in Tongling Town, Dongshan County, Fujian Province, within the Fengdongshi Scenic Area. It was first built in 1387 (the 20th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty) and has a long history. In 1996, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. The buildings in the temple are exquisitely constructed, including the gate tower, front hall, main hall, etc., with carved beams and painted rafters, looking resplendent and magnificent. As the ancestral temple of many Guandi temples in Taiwan, for hundreds of years, its incense has been continuously divided and spread across the sea, and it also has a wide influence overseas. Every year, a large number of Taiwan compatriots and overseas Chinese come to pay homage and offer incense. It is a common spiritual bond for compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and even those at home and abroad.
