Batman: Through The Ages (VR180)

Batman has been one of my favorite characters ever since I was a kid. I've read the comics, watch the animated series, and all of the movies. As a tribute to the Caped Crusader, I've created this animated VR180 experience showcasing many of the different portrayals of Batman through the years, from the Adam West TV show, the Tim Burton films, Chris Nolan films, to the latest Matt Reeves Batman movies. This 2 minute VR animation was rendered in 8K resolution at 60fps. (on my single computer which was around 240 hours of rendering time!) Due to the long render times, some of the scenes had to be stripped down/minimal, but one thing I made sure every shot had was Batman, at real-world scale (I made him about 6 feet tall) and up close. I may revisit this project in a few years once VR animation creation is easier/faster and possibly with evolved formats. (i.e. 6DoF movement)

This was a fun passion project and I hope you enjoy it! Animated and designed in C4D and rendered with Redshift.
