Discover Búzios, Brazil in immersive 360 VR as we explore vibrant streets, oceanfront walks, and beautiful beaches from the comfort of your headset or screen. In this episode, Nikki and I step off the Azamara Quest and wander along the scenic Orla Bardot waterfront, where we find the famous Brigitte Bardot statue and stop to take some fun selfies with this iconic landmark.

From there, we hire a local driver and a dune-buggy style ride to cruise through town, climb up to scenic overlooks, and visit a few of Búzios’ gorgeous beaches before returning to the center of town. When the rain starts to roll in, we make our way back to the tender for the ride out to the Azamara Quest, watching the peninsula and its fishing boats fade into the mist behind us.

Búzios, officially Armação dos Búzios, began as a quiet fishing village before transforming into one of Brazil’s most stylish beach destinations, often called the “St. Tropez of Brazil.” The town sits on a peninsula north of Rio de Janeiro and is known for its clear waters, relaxed tropical climate, and more than 20 unique beaches, each with its own character. Búzios gained international fame in the 1960s when French actress Brigitte Bardot vacationed here, inspiring the waterfront Orla Bardot and the bronze statue you’ll see in this video.
