🧗 Easy Via Ferratas in the Dolomites 🇮🇹 | Spectacular Views Without the Extreme! – Part 1 #ferrata #dolomites
🇮🇹 The Dolomites, via ferratas and hiking through some of the most spectacular places in northern Italy. In Part 1, we explore routes that are not among the most extreme via ferratas, but still take you to places where the rock, exposure and incredible panoramas make a much bigger impression than the technical difficulty itself.
🏞️ We start gently at Lago di Braies, one of the most recognizable lakes in the Dolomites. Then we move to Sassolungo / Saslonch, where in addition to the via ferrata we also head deeper into the massif and hike a loop around its impressive rock walls.
⛰️ Our next destination is Pale di San Martino – a hike beneath the distinctive Cimon della Pala, through the area around Baita Segantini and Monte Castellazzo. Finally, we head to the Tofane area above Cortina d'Ampezzo, where two short, easy and very photogenic via ferratas await: Ra Pegna and Ra Bujela, the latter featuring two suspension bridges. We finish with a short visit to Tofana di Mezzo and Cinque Torri.
🧗 This is the Dolomites for those who are looking mainly for beautiful places, interesting hikes and easier via ferratas rather than pushing the limits of difficulty.
