🇮🇹 Two Faces of the Dolomites 🏔️ Crowded Lago di Braies vs Quiet Pale di San Martino | 180° 8K 3D VR

Two very different hikes in the Italian Dolomites.

We begin at famous Lago di Braies / Pragser Wildsee, walking the easy loop around its emerald waters. It is one of the most photographed places in the Dolomites — beautiful, easily accessible and, in summer, extremely crowded.

Then the atmosphere changes completely. From Baita Segantini we hike towards Monte Castellazzo, with the dramatic Pale di San Martino rising above us. The trail is quiet, peaceful and surprisingly easy, with around 200 metres of ascent to the summit.

At the top, the clouds begin to clear and reveal Cimon della Pala, often called the “Matterhorn of the Dolomites”. Along the route we also pass remains of First World War trenches, shelters and fortifications before descending back toward Passo Rolle.
