Notice: AI Passthrough is presently in beta mode, and as such, users may encounter occasional service imperfections. The feature is currently exclusive to the DeoVR app, but it will soon be accessible on both browsers and mobile devices. Your feedback is highly encouraged and appreciated.

Zuihoden, the mausoleum of Lord of Sendai Date Masamune, built in 1637, is a gorgeous mausoleum that conveys the atmosphere of the Momoyama period. It was designated a national treasure in 1931, but was destroyed by fire during war damage. The current building was rebuilt in 1979. On the premises there is a museum that displays materials from excavation surveys and the mausoleums of the second and third Date Masamune.
The stone lantern is broken every time there is a major earthquake, but has been repaired each time.
The doors are occasionally opened to the public, and a wooden statue of Date Masamune is placed inside.
