Catch the last colors of the sunset over the Pacific, the Santa Monica Pier lighting up against the deep blue sky, and a parade of neon-lit bikes rolling down the path. No music, no talking. Just the ocean, the wheels, and the people around us.
📍 THE RIDE
Route: Santa Monica Pier → Palisades Park end of the beach path → down to the start of Venice Beach → back to the Pier at deep blue hour → back to the car
Filmed: around 6:40 PM, September 2026
Getting there: the Marvin Braude beach path runs 22 miles along the coast, and it's free to ride or walk
💡 TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT
- Blue hour is the best moment here: the sky goes deep blue while the Pier lights turn on
- The beach path gets busy at sunset, so take it slow
- Parking: the Pier deck fills up fast; the lots along Ocean Ave are usually easier
