"Childhood Memories"

"Childhood Memories" is based on the children's books by Dutch publisher Kluitman, which is one of the largest children's book publishers in the Netherlands. It publishes mainly series for children and young adults aged 2 to 15. They have been publishing books over decades now. As a child I already read many of their books, which my parents read in their own childhood as well, dreaming away, filling our thoughts with fantasies watching those colourful old skool covers, and enjoying the typical smell of old books.
What would have happened if #VR came first, and books would have been published only after many years? Would we still have been able to use our imagination like we did reading those old books in our childhood? We will never know.... anyway, I made a combination of virtual reality and 3D scanned books in this #artwork , as a tribute to all those books which were part of my childhood.
