This 3D 180 VR experience takes you on a tour of the various fantasy and science fiction props and costumes that are on display at the Entertainment Nation exhibition in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington DC. Entertainment Nation features an ever-changing selection of objects and interactive experiences to explore how entertainment has provided a forum for important national conversations about who we are and who we want to be.
This video includes C-3P0 and R2-D2 from Star Wars, the ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz, Muppets from Sesame Street, and various costumes and props from Alien, Captain America, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Superman. It also features the “Women in Sci-Fi and Fantasy” display, which includes costumes from TV shows such as Batman, The Guild, Star Trek: Discovery, and Xena: Warrior Princess. This video ends with a 9-foot replica of the Statue of Liberty, which was made from 25,375 Lego bricks.
