Okay to the car – She is a 1968 V8 auto with the factory option of a front bench seat.
So what has been done?
The underside was checked over and any work to floor pan frame rails and toque boxes was carried out. I am pleased to say there was only a small repair required to the driver’s toque box.
We fitted new fuel lines and new brake lines and fully serviced the braking system. The bodywork was fully aligned including door shuts, bonnet, and boot as were the fender extension and headlight buckets. Those of you who know will confirm these were never fitted or aligned from the factory.
Then all bright work was removed and she received a full body repaint just as she left the factory vintage burgundy.
The interior was stripped and an all-new interior was fitted including
New seat covers
New carpet
New door cards
New dash clock glass and surround
New dash pad
And new interior chrome
The engine bay was overhauled with a new carburetor fitted, a new air filter new rocker covers, new plugs, points, and condenser, and the crowing glory and California spec alloy radiator so no overheating.
The engine and engine bay were repainted to factory spec.
Then all new chrome work was fitted to the exterior – new bumpers, new handles, new mirrors, new badges, new tail light surrounds, new turn signals, and new side markers.
Finally, new factory wheels with new factory spec tires (195x50x14) and finished with factory wheel trims.
