There are various characteristic fish species in the coastal fish ponds of Langkawi, Malaysia. Below are some common types:
Manta Ray: Also known as "devil fish", it is the general term for animals in the Mobulidae family and belongs to the class Chondrichthyes. Its body disc is rhombus-shaped, with a long, whip-like tail. It feeds on zooplankton, planktonic crustaceans and small fish.

Tuna: It is a genus of marine fish belonging to the class Actinopterygii, order Perciformes, and family Scombridae. It has a spindle-shaped body and is an oceanic warm-water migratory fish. It mainly feeds on various fish, cephalopods and crustaceans of appropriate sizes.

Shark: There are various shark species in the waters around Langkawi, such as thresher sharks. Sharks belong to the class Chondrichthyes, with diverse body sizes. As top predators in the ocean, they feed on various fish, marine mammals, etc.

Archerfish: It is the collective name for seven fish species in the Toxotidae family. It is famous for being able to shoot water droplets from its mouth to hunt insects on plants hanging over the water surface. It has a body length of about 20 centimeters, an oval-like body shape, and bright silvery-white body color; some individuals are light yellow, slightly tinged with green.
