Today, I traveled from Changshu Station in Jiangsu to Zhangjiagang Station. It was my first time visiting Changshu Station, and I discovered that its business-class waiting lounge seemed to have opened only recently. The overall atmosphere felt new and modern. The station’s interior design was beautiful with strong Chinese elements, and the business lounge’s exterior also looked elegant and refined. Inside, the lounge was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with snacks and drinks. The staff were professional, enthusiastic, and attentive, which made the experience even better. Although the lounge was not very large, it felt cozy and welcoming. The journey itself was just ten minutes long, with service provided by attendants from the Chengdu Railway Bureau. The ticket price for business class was RMB 24, equivalent to just over USD 3 — very affordable. Even for such a short ride, passengers were offered thoughtful services. I chose a fish-flavored shredded pork rice meal, which I packed to take with me after the ride. In addition, complimentary amenities such as headphones, earplugs, an eye mask, slippers, and shoe covers were provided. Since the trip was brief, I didn’t use the slippers and instead carried everything along with the meal when I got off. During the ride, I enjoyed the passing scenery and took some photos.
