🇮🇹 The second part of our Dolomites adventure — via ferratas, high-alpine panoramas and a few cable cars that let us explore several very different parts of the mountains in a short time. This time we begin at one of the most iconic places in the entire Dolomites — Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

⛰️ We head beneath the famous Three Peaks and then continue through old wartime tunnels and exposed rock ledges onto Via Ferrata De Luca–Innerkofler. Our goal is Monte Paterno – 2744 m, offering one of the finest views of the dramatic north faces of Tre Cime. The route follows traces of the First World War front, with part of the ascent leading through tunnels carved directly into the mountain.

🚠 The next day is more relaxed, as we explore the Dolomites using the mountain lifts. First we travel to the Passo Giau area, where the Fedare chairlift takes us toward Forcella Averau and Rifugio Averau. Then we move on to Cortina d’Ampezzo and take the Cortina–Mandres–Faloria cable car up to Faloria – 2120 m, giving us a completely different perspective on the surrounding peaks.

🧗 Our next stop is the Penia and Ciampac area. From here we head toward Crepa Neigra – 2535 m and its new via ferrata, crossing its distinctive rocky walls. This is one of those routes where technical difficulty is not the main attraction — the real highlights are the exposure, the scenery and the vast mountain landscape.

⛰️ To finish the trip, we drive to Passo Pordoi and take the cable car up to Sass Pordoi – 2950 m.
