This 3D 180 VR experience brings you to a traditional lion dance performance, which was part of the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration at the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art on January 21, 2023. Also known as the Spring Festival in China, the Lunar New Year is a fifteen-day celebration marked by many traditions and celebrated in a variety of countries and cultures, including Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Mongolia.
Committed to preserving, exhibiting and interpreting exemplary works of art, the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art features more than 40,000 objects which date from the Neolithic period to today and originate from the ancient Near East to China, Japan, Korea, South and Southeast Asia, as well as the Islamic world.
