The Humble Administrator's Garden, located in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, is the most famous and representative of Suzhou's classical gardens. It was first built in the 16th century by Wang Xianchen, an imperial censor who retired to Suzhou after a setback in his official career. It is said that Wen Zhengming, one of the Four Great Talents of the Ming Dynasty, also contributed to the design of the garden.
