In 2022, Tesla unveiled the first generation of its humanoid robot, officially called Optimus (also known as the Tesla Bot). It was introduced by Elon Musk at Tesla’s AI Day as a prototype aimed at demonstrating Tesla’s vision of bringing robotics into everyday life.

Key Features of the 2022 Prototype:
• Humanoid Design: The robot stood about 5 feet 8 inches (173 cm) tall and weighed around 125 pounds (57 kg), resembling the human form with arms, legs, hands, and a head.
• Mobility: The prototype was capable of basic walking and movement, powered by electric actuators designed in-house by Tesla.
• Sensors & AI: Tesla used the same camera and neural network technology from its self-driving cars, allowing the robot to perceive its surroundings and recognize objects.
• Functionality Vision: Although the prototype could only perform simple actions in 2022 (such as walking slowly, waving, or carrying a small object), Tesla emphasized that future versions would be able to handle everyday tasks like grocery shopping, lifting objects, and assisting in factories or homes.
• Safety & Practicality: Elon Musk highlighted that the robot was designed to be safe, lightweight, and limited in speed and strength so it would not pose a danger to humans.

Significance:
The 2022 debut was not about a fully functional product but rather about showcasing Tesla’s ambition to extend its AI and hardware expertise from autonomous driving into general-purpose robotics. It marked the beginning of w
