This is a video of the Yosakoi Festival held in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, the largest city in the Tohoku region of Japan.
Many teams performed dances, with dancers of all ages and regions, including children, university students, and adults.
The festival took place over two days and was held at several venues.
I watched the festival from the zelkova tree-lined street of Jozenji-dori.
Although there were only a few teams, I was able to see them dancing happily. The movements of the people waving flags were also impressive.
