Shibuya City is Under Construction: Overview
The area around Shibuya Station is undergoing large-scale redevelopment, including the construction of a new station building, aiming for overall completion in fiscal year 2027. In July 2024, the new South Gate was relocated to the elevated new station building, improving convenience. Through the expansion of the station building, the development of an east-west free passage, and collaboration with surrounding developments, Shibuya Station is evolving into a more functional and attractive urban hub.
