Up Close with the Floral Goddesses at Bay Glory

Cici went to Shenzhen’s Bay Area Eye to participate in the Lantern Festival activities. The most impressive part was the Twelve Flower Goddesses parade. Twelve Flower Goddesses dressed in exquisite traditional costumes paraded and performed throughout the venue like the Spring Festival Gala. They would stop to match poetry lines with visitors, and those who answered correctly received yuanxiao gifts. After the parade, they performed the elegant “Greeting the Flower Goddesses” dance from the Gala. Traditional games such as guessing lantern riddles, pot throwing, and clamping yuanxiao were available on site, creating a very strong festive atmosphere.
