Casares, Spain is a picturesque “pueblo blanco” (white town) in the province of Málaga, Andalusia, about 15 km inland from the Costa del Sol. Perched on a hillside at 435 m elevation, it offers stunning views of the Mediterranean and nearby mountains.

The village dates back to Roman times (linked to Julius Caesar and the sulphur baths Baños de la Hedionda) and flourished under Moorish rule, reflected in its narrow winding streets and castle ruins.

Casares is known for:
- Castillo de Casares and Iglesia de la Encarnación
- Natural Roman baths (Baños de la Hedionda)
- Hiking in Sierra Crestellina Natural Park
- Nearby beaches at Casares Costa

It’s also the birthplace of Blas Infante, father of Andalusian nationalism. Today, Casares blends traditional Andalusian charm with proximity to coastal resorts, a quiet, scenic destination ideal for culture, hiking, and relaxation.
