Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic and is located on the Vltava River. As of January 1, 2023,
the city had 1,357,326 inhabitants. The University of Prague, Charles University, was founded in 1348 by King Charles IV
and is the oldest university in Central Europe north of the Alps and east of the Rhine.
