This video is really only for those who really want to experience a virtual dive 1:1 and this in real time. I have recorded with the video camera once a dive in the spring at 7 ° water temperature. We were asked again and again what you see there and how it is, so we filmed it! The dive took place in Serrieres in Lake Neuchâtel. If you would rather have a 360° shot you can find it here.

Since it was the first dive after almost 6 months of winter break, we were a bit strange, but it was still a nice dive. But at this time of year there is not much going on in our lakes, the few crayfish you see are invasive species that have migrated and are wiping out our native species. The fish only come back later towards the upper 10m. You look under every rock and in every hole to see if there is any living creature in there, but mostly around the cold season still without success.
We both dive here in dry suits, otherwise you would not stand it at 7°. You usually stay dry everywhere in these suits except your face, the suit is filled with a little air for better thermal insulation. When the diver lifts his left arm and air bubbles out of it, this is intentional. Depending on the depth, more air has to go in or out of the suit to float.
Basically it is in our lakes in Europe so that so from 12-15m it is quite dark, therefore the lamps - even if this dive went only to 9m. The visibility on this dive was quite good. Before the dive, you spend a good 45 minutes discussing the dive, assembling your equipment and getting dressed. After the dive, the same thing happens again in the reverse order.
