New: AI passthrough!

This amazing Deo feature uses the power of AI to turn every VR scene into AR passthrough! Now you can take characters out of VR and have them right there with you - as if they were in the same room.

Notice: AI Passthrough is presently in beta mode, and as such, users may encounter occasional service imperfections. The feature is currently exclusive to the DeoVR app, but it will soon be accessible on both browsers and mobile devices. Your feedback is highly encouraged and appreciated.

Recommended headsets:

Meta Quest 3, and Quest Pro with stereoscopic color passthrough, Pico 4 (monoscopic color passthrough).

Compatible headsets:

Quest 2, Valve Index (monoscopic black and white passthrough).

Passthrough is not compatible yet for Oculus Link cable.

Shot on: SLAM XCAM
🎥 This video is a real-world test of the SLAM XCAM (or should we say... SCam XCAM?) camera. Despite its ~$1000 price tag, my testing found that the camera falls far short of its advertised capabilities.

Throughout this recording, the camera produces an unstable variable frame rate instead of maintaining a consistent 30 fps. The footage contains frequent multi-second freezes, visible image jitter, and virtually no effective image stabilization. Enabling additional processing features—particularly real-time stitching—further reduces performance, making frame-rate stability even worse.

The camera is marketed as supporting 10-bit recording and HDR. However, in our tests, all recorded files were standard 8-bit HEVC, with no evidence of genuine 10-bit output. Likewise, the HDR mode showed little to no measurable improvement in dynamic range. Highlights clipped easily, shadow detail remained limited, and overall image quality was comparable to the standard recording mode.

Everything visible in this video—including frame drops, freezes, image jitter, and instability—comes directly from the camera itself. None of these issues were introduced during editing, rendering, or playback.
