🛶🐟 Exploring Peru – Deserts, Mountains, and the Jungle of South America – Part 3: On the Amazon River
The third and final part of our three-week journey through Peru takes us deep into the Amazon Basin.
The adventure begins in the remote city of Iquitos, the largest city in the world inaccessible by road. From there, we explore the bustling Belén Market and the waterways often called the "Venice of the Amazon" before boarding a traditional river boat for a journey along the mighty Amazon River.
The film follows life on the river, visits to the riverside town of Caballococha, and encounters with the Ticuna people living in the heart of the rainforest. Surrounded by endless jungle, wildlife, and remote settlements, we experience one of the most fascinating and isolated regions of South America.
From vibrant river communities and tropical landscapes to the vast waterways of the Amazon, this final chapter reveals a side of Peru that few travelers ever see.
