After banging my head against the wall trying to explain how VR180 is going to fit ino our future, I finally broke down and made a proof-of-concept video. I believe this is the only one made in VR180, and it really hits home the idea of how immersive VR180 video can feel. It can seem like a gimmick now, but for so many things it will be the preferred video format... you just need to see it in action.

Also, technical note: I fully believe the future of AR/VR/XR will be video pass-through, rather than glass based augmented reality. When the quality is high enough, and latency is low enough? It will be indistinguishable from real-life. That's a ways away... but realize when that's true, the video you record from your glasses will look identical when played back. It will not be flat, it will not be 360... it will be VR180 in 3 dimensions. Bank on it.
