This is a Michelin Guide recommended restaurant. Unlike what you would expect from other Michelin Guide recommended restaurant, you are not here of the ambiance or fancy food. At A-Kun Noodles
they serve
2 things, noodle and soup. You don't even have a choice of noodle soup, just dry noodle and soup. The noodle is cooked egg noodle with bean sprouts and a spoon of ground pork stew, served with a sweet hot sauce that is famous in Taichung. The soup is pork bone broth with your choice of toufu, deep fried tofu, fish balls, pork balls, and dumpling. Nothing fancy. But why are they Michelin recommended? because they are simple and good. Not great, just good. You order the noodle and a soup and they hit the spot. You order without the soup, it's too dry, you order just the soup, it's not filling enough. You order a large noodle, it's too much, you get tired of the noodle. There is beauty in their simplicity. https://www.instagram.com/a_kun_mian?igshid=yrbdz16ovimp
