It has a population of about 6,000 people.

I drove from National Route 220, which crosses Higashikushira Town,
to Kanoya City, the largest town on the Osumi Peninsula.

Please take a look at this laid-back Japanese countryside town, which is completely different from big cities like Tokyo and Osaka.
