Natadera Temple in Komatsu is a historic Buddhist temple founded in 717 by the monk Taicho.
It is famous for its unique rock formations, scenic gardens, and natural harmony, and is linked to the ancient Hakusan faith, which worships the sacred Mt. Hakusan.
The temple is known for its beautiful grounds, including mossy forests, ponds with koi fish, and impressive cliffs shaped by volcanic activity and erosion.
Natadera expresses a spiritual connection between nature and people, and enshrines Kannon, the Goddess of Mercy. The temple buildings, some of which are Important Cultural Properties, feature intricate wood carvings and traditional Japanese architecture
