U.S. Marines Commemorate Tarawa Day at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina

U.S. Marines with 2d Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division, participate in a 10-kilometer hike and rededication ceremony in commemoration of Tarawa Day on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 21, 2023. 2d Marines remembered and honored the sacrifices of the regiment during its defining battle during World War II, learned about the adaptation of amphibious doctrine, and strengthened unit identity.
