Seoul's Oldest Herbal Medicine Market in VR180 | Gyeongdong Market & Yangnyeongsi 3D Walk

Step inside Seoul Yangnyeongsi, Korea's largest herbal medicine market, where the scent of medicinal herbs greets you the moment you walk through the gate. Filmed in VR180 3D, this walk takes you through the herb shops, a museum of Korean medicine, and the bustling Gyeongdong Market next door.

As a Korean medicine doctor, I'll show you the herbs behind traditional Korean remedies: achyranthes root, wild mistletoe, Phellinus mushrooms, deer antler and its grades, and the astragalus that goes into samgyetang. We visit the Seoul Hanbang Promotion Center and its Museum of Korean Medicine, built on the site of Bojewon, a Joseon-era institution that treated and fed ordinary people. Then we head into Gyeongdong Market for top-quality anchovies, hand-grilled laver, freshly pressed sesame and perilla oil, and Korean chili powder, stop for coffee in a Starbucks built inside an old movie theater, and finish with stone-pot bibimbap, ox-head soup and a giant cabbage pancake in the basement food alley.
