This site is the royal tomb of King Suro, the founder of the Gaya Confederacy in the 1st century CE.
Located in the heart of Gimhae, the tomb blends seamlessly with the modern cityscape as an ancient landmark within the urban center.
Gaya was an ancient confederation of city-states in southern Korea, known for its iron culture and maritime trade.
The tomb was built in the 2nd century and underwent multiple restorations throughout the Joseon Dynasty.
