Massive stepwells can be found across India, particularly in western regions. They are far more than just wells. Often described as “inverted pyramids,” these structures resemble underground temples. They served not only as places of faith, but also as communal gathering spaces.

These monumental stepwells were filmed using a 3D camera with an extended IPD (interpupillary distance). Through this setup, even large architectural structures can be perceived with a heightened sense of depth and dimensionality.
