What is “Bring Your Own Big Wheel” ?
2024 San Francisco's "Bring Your Own Roulette" race is back on time for Easter. “ This is a San Francisco-only event. Every Easter Sunday, kids and adult children alike dress up in Easter related costumes and ride ridiculously small children's tricycles, skateboards, office chairs, etc. down Vermont street in Potrero Hill, and Vermont street is really the curviest street, not Lombard Street.
“Bring Your Own Big Wheel” History & Origins
The “Bring Your Own Big Wheel” event is supported solely by donations from participants and spectators. The event was coordinated by Frog Gillmore. She helped obtain all the permits needed to close the street, hired first responders to be there, and organized more than 50 volunteers. When asked why she invests her time and energy (and sometimes money) into organizing the event, she simply replied, "Because it's fun. Because it makes San Francisco truly San Francisco."
