Feels Like Another Planet Annapurna Nepal Day 4 part 2 VR Hiking
Annapurna Base Camp Trek – Part 2: Back from MBC to Deulari in VR180 8K.
Yesterday, hiking up to Machapuchhre Base Camp, I was totally washed – rain, snow, fog, everything. I arrived at MBC completely wet, like someone poured a bucket over me. Today feels like a different world. I leave MBC under clear skies, with beautiful light on the mountains and just a few clouds slowly building in the distance.
On the way down towards Deulari, the trail finally feels friendly: dry stones, good visibility, and helicopter traffic above the valley. It’s a small but real rule here – when the weather is good at base camp, the helicopters fly nonstop. When the clouds move in and close the valley, they disappear. If you see helicopters in the morning, you know Annapurna Base Camp is open.
Later, as I get closer to Deulari, the clouds start to collect again. The sun fades, the mood changes, and you can literally watch the good weather shutting down behind me. In Deulari the clouds wrap around the village, and the helicopters stop – that’s your live weather report from the Himalayas.
Put on your headset and walk the whole way back from MBC to Deulari with me in immersive VR180 8K.
